Good tool to protect against malware

Kommentarer: In general, AVG does a good job at protecting all the computers in our workspace as well as monitoring our internet security. It was easy to set it up initially and it doesn't overly distract the team with too many suggestions.

What I like about AVG is its reliability. It doesn't have the most up-to-date design or the most fluid user experience, but when it comes to threats, all suspicious files get flagged and put in quarantine. Also, it scans the email attachments before I open them.

I think the design and user interface are a bit outdated. Sometimes it detected certain files as malware when in reality it is a false positive. Another issue is how slow the cloud version is.

Kommentarer: I have been using AVG antivirus personally for quite some time. In 2024, the company began using AVG Antivirus Business Edition, in order to try to avoid possible infections with laptop and PC viruses of professionals, which occurred by constantly opening and reviewing files (word, pdf, excel, among others) that were sent both by students (from their private PCs) and by the exchange of files between different levels which could eventually contain viruses and infect multiple computers.
At the moment I have found it quite easy to use and very adequate protection, warning me of possible malicious files and blocking some connections.

It is an easy-to-use antivirus that does not require great knowledge to configure it since with just installing and making a few clicks you can already have the maximum protection on your laptop or PC and thus not have to worry about software that wants to steal your data and hijack your OS. (with another antivirus it happened to me a couple of times)

It finds threats quickly and gets rid of them but uses alot of resources doing it

Kommentarer: My overall experience with AVG Antivirus Buisness Edition was a toss up because it does find and get rid of threats quickly and removes them safely but at the same time it slowed our computers down to the point we finally had to delete it.

I dont like the fact that AVG Antivirus Buisness Edition slows down our computers anf would sometimes freeze up some older computers we used it on. To many graphics and background running processes.

Kommentarer: AVG has saved me many times over, blocking questionable sites from attempting to open millions of windows with spam content, and even catching a few viruses before they could infect me over the years.

Kommentarer: I know for a fact it's protected my network from viruses. Since I've had it I haven't had one virus, as before without it, I had quit a few viruses. Avg warns me of threats from malicious websites before I visit it.

Kommentarer: Keeps me safe. Does exactly what its supposed to do. I'd give this a 9 out of 10. The only reason they lose 1 point is because they like to solicit you to upgrade from the current package you have with them, which is just annoying. Otherwise they would have got a 10/10 from me!

I used to have McAfee but unfortunately it wasn't as effective as I had hoped. I do a lot of downloading and found my PC getting increasingly slower and slower until I discovered that my PC had been riddled with various malware + viruses. After reformatting my computer, I proceeded with AVG internet (recommended by a friend). It's been well over 5-7 years now that I've had AVG internet security and can proudly say that I've not once been infected with a virus. It really does a great job protecting you. I still download a lot (almost every day) and still, VIRUS FREE!! If you're on the fence about getting AVG, just do it. You really won't regret the decision. I know I haven't :)

The biggest con to AVG internet security is the annoying ads they run for you to purchase upgrades or extension software upgrades, such as AVG PC TuneUp. They ask me all the time if I want to fix my performance issues (which, I have none, by the way) and would honestly love it if they stopped soliciting me. I already have their software. Geez. Other than that--it does exactly what it's supposed to do: keep you protected.

AVG is your virtual watch dog for strangers intruding on your personal digital space

Kommentarer: AVG continues to be a leader in the cyber security landscape. I personally use this both at work and on my personal PC as I find that generally it seems to take less system resources when do scans. Other antivirus software seems to "force" me to take a coffee break when it starts to scan, while this does its job in the background like a janitor cleaning my garbage pail. I mean what else can you ask for?

This was pretty straight forward to implement, which is always a bonus from an IT perspective. The ease of rollout and management of this was one of the reasons why there are certain departments in my organization that has a preference for using this as their preferred anti virus. The background scans also seem to not take up as many system resources as well

From an anti virus perspective I dont actually have much complaints. Its there, updates on its own and is almost self regulating. Honestly not much to complain about as it seems to do its job
