Their customer support is also very good and has helped me when I've encountered issues with the software.

Kommentarer: Clockify is a super handy tool for tracking time, whether you’re working solo or with a team. It’s really easy to use, just start the timer and go. You can pull up reports to see where all your time went, and manage projects pretty smoothly. The free version gives a lot, though if you need more advanced stuff like detailed reports or billing, you gotta upgrade. It also works with other apps like Trello, so you don’t need to switch back n forth. Some might think it's a bit basic without paying, but overall it’s solid.

A functional and useful app, but very slow with limited reporting.
Kommentarer: I use it because we have to, but it is admittedly very nice for the running of our business. However, I feel like competitors must exist which are more responsive and more detailed in their reports generated.

It is sluggish and slow. Every time I make a change I have to wait several seconds. The reports are really barebones and not that useful.
Great for virtual assistants on retainer!
Kommentarer: I think Clockify is the best option for me and my team as of right now, but there are certainly places where I think it could improve particularly on the client side and with notifications.

I think my favorite thing about Clockify is that we can use it to track retainers for our clients. We simply put in the tasks with hour limits so that we can track our progress alongside how many hours have already been paid for. I haven't found any other platform on the market with this capability!

I wish that the client side was a little more seamless. I don't want to have to pay for every single client that wants to see their progress on a retainer, but the only other option is to send them a shared report that doesn't show a project status. I also wish there were capabilities built in to where I could set a due date for projects and send notifications to my team if they are halfway through a retainer, falling behind or have completed used their hours. For example, we use the tasks within projects for our retainers which clients pay for upfront. So if a client pays for a 10 hour retainer, that is added in and assigned to the team member. They then look at the status to see how many hours they have used that have been paid for. I wish there was a way for me to set a due date that corresponded with the day that their next retainer would be paid and then send an email to my team member that says "hey you've used half your retainer!" or "hey, you are over your total retainer hours".

It's everywhere I need it to be, and is widely supported in Project Management Software. When driving, it tracks for me and assigns to the correct customers. Sending invoices is easy. I would say it paid for itself in a week.

Kommentarer: I have used Clockify in two ways over the past two years. The first, was for work I was doing as an independent contractor and this product was great for being able to invoice and show a time card. Then I have used it as part of a team as assistant manager. It has made it so easy to see what my team has been working on and the hours they have worked!

I have been usimg Clockify in the past 3-4 years to manage hours in various projects with various clients. Overal it's a great experience. I use it via multiple platforms - Android app, web, extensions for Firefox & Chrome. It works well around 98% of the time.
Moving between projects/tasks is good. Report options are very versatile.
I've seen better android apps, but not ones with multiple platform support.

For the company it is a great tool to record time, expenses and time off all-in-one place. Easy to use and accessibility on mobile device is a great option as the team is always on the move. Admin functions is very easy to execute. Support from Clockify on any queries raised is prompt and adept.

Holiday policy management can be made a bit more user friendly. Should have an option to export the holiday list. Team data can also be made more user friendly. There should more custom fields to cater for the company requirements and an option to download team data and client data
The one time-tracking tool to rule them all
Kommentarer: I've always recommended Clockify to anyone who needs a simple time-tracking tool they can integrate into their personal AND business life to stay on top of their time management. I don't think any other tool comes even close to how easy and seamless it is to use Clockify when working on my own projects or those of my clients. It's simple, customizable, and so easy to use that I can't imagine choosing anything else other than Clockify.

I love the simple interface, the flexibility it offers me, and the fact that I can track my time without having to upgrade to a team plan that I won't need as a solo business owner. Clockify is my behind-the-scenes tool for tracking everything I do inn my business and reflect on where I spend my time. I've tried so many other tracking tools that keep pushing new, fancier updates when sometimes (most of the time for me!), all I need is a reliable tool I can count on without any extras. Clockify has been my absolute favorite.

It's hard to find anything I'm not happy with when A) it's free and B) in those very rare cases that an outage happens, support has been helpful and proactive in getting it solved. My only wish is that Clockify stays consistent and just as functionally superior to all those other SaaS apps that constantly find things to add or tweak that directly mess up the user experience.

Kommentarer: I've tried different tools to track time spent working, some even promised to make things easier through AI, but none was as good as Clockify. It's easy to use and it is not cluttered with shiny but useless features.

The simplicity and ease of use of Clockify make it the perfect choice for those who want a tool that they can customise and yet not loose themselves in complicated admin panels. It works perfectly straight out of the box and still allows for a custom environment to be set up with minimum effort.

There are some inconsistencies amongst the UIs provided through different touch points: for example, the macOS app has separate fields for selecting the project and task, but the web portal only allows for a single field and does not allow to search by task name, which at times can be frustrating.

Kommentarer: It's really good. I've been using Clockify since 2019. I've also been suggesting it with my new clients and they're embracing it quickly! Experience is smooth. I also use the Clockify extension on browser for quick tracking.

I like using most the time tracker and the reports! Also, the ability to export the reports in pdf/excel file helps me track everything even when I'm offline. It helps me see the overall picture of the projects that I'm working on with my client.

While features are largely there, I would like to use shortcuts more extensively to move around entries, quickly copy/edit them. As clockify is also used by developers, I imagine the core audience would also appreciate that. E.g. use hjkl to navigate the calendar view, use cmd+d to duplicate the task, use hjkl to move the duplicate, then use cmd+hjkl to move this duplicate to the place i want. Also while in the entry, it would be great to have things out of your way while you use keyboard. Example: when you switch to the project field, you can type in the project, as I type I want the project to be selected, so that i don't need to press down (two times - one to pass the collapse button, another one to select project), I want to be able just press return and the project would be selected.
Clockify is great
Kommentarer: My overall experience with clockify has been positive. It is not hard for the additional users that i have added to jump in and pick up to track their time. Overall, I think it is a great product that is a pretty reasonable cost comparatively. There is a free version but it does not allow the privacy feature that I needed between users.

I wish there was a way to create time budgets or to calculate client profitability using time spent and my monthly service fee. This may already be a feature and perhaps I just don't know where or how to use it. That is about the only thing I can think of that I do not have in clockify that I would like to use.

Kommentarer: I love it! I used it in my old VA business in the past, and when I got back into working on projects from home I went right back to clockify! I recommend it to anyone who has trouble with time management, because the first step to solving a problem is analyzing the data, and it's helpful to know where your time is being spent for how long. Most people I recommend it to end up loving it, too, and keep at it.

I appreciate how much organization it offers, even without moving to the paid version. Color coding, tons of projects, tasks within projects, options to make each individual project billable or not... It's so helpful since I track time for my own projects as well as projects done for other clients, and I can cleanly separate out things when pulling reports. I'm a big fan!

It was a little difficult to update my information when one of my clients upped my pay rate. I had to individually change the information for each of the times I'd already clocked, but I get that it's what happens when you don't upgrade to the paid version. Not too big of a deal.
Great Free Tool With Room for Improvement

1. Mobile version is bad. I've been just creating a webapp on the iOS desktop and use the webapp version rather than the iOS app. 2. The reason I say the iOS version is bad is that it requires you turn the iOS date/time picker wheel to set start/end times when entering manual entries. It is very time-consuming process. The time entry process could be substantially optimized. This is how: (1) Activate a numeric dialpad (rather than time picker wheel) when tapping the time entry to enter time; (2) change the * key on the dialpad to "AM"; change the # key to "PM". This way you can manually enter any time in 2s rather than 10s using the time picker wheel. 3. Lacking widget feature. I suggest adding a widget that gives you a button on the phone lock screen. It will allow you to press the button to record time without requiring you to enter all the time entry details/narratives when you are on the go. You can come back to add the narrative details later.
Project management - tracking work done

I like that clockify is easy to use. This program is great for tracking time on projects. In engineering we use time tracking to verify that we are not under/over charging for our services. We also use the different labels to pinpoint areas that use more time. The labels on each project help future projects for time use and how many areas there are that need time tracking.

The only thing I do not like is sometimes when tracking times the program will not let me adjust times. For instance, I need to have the time start at 0800 and end at 1100. Once in awhile I will only allow 1059. No matter how many times I change it to 1100 it bounces back to 1059. I end up deleting that entry and putting it in again. Occasionally when needing to adjust times, getting the correct day and time is difficult. There have been times that the tracking went to another day; while adjusting the time/day it will not allow the correction resulting in deleting the event and re-enter the time/day for the project.
Multiple freelance projects? This is your timekeeper!

Clockify offers flexibility I haven't been able to find with other productivity and timekeeping apps. As a freelancer with multiple clients, companies, and gigs that I work for, it makes transitioning from one task to another seamless, and my time is always accurate. I love that you can adjust certain features such as idle time and turning off the timer. This is helpful for those times when you get distracted and walk away for a little too long!

Since there is both a desktop app, a web version (and also a Chrome extension), there are times when they don't always sync together correctly, or the synchronization is delayed.

I work in a different timezone from my supervisor, and I was asked to set the app to MST. Since then, I keep getting this annoying "Timezone mismatch" notification that I can’t seem to get rid of, no matter what I try.
