Kommentarer: It has a learning curve at the beginning. Still, later on, and not so long after, you will find yourself putting everything on confluence because it is easy, well-managed, and perfect for a platform where people can find documentation and information in a well-presented format.

Confluence is part of an already well-positioned and easy-to-implement ecosystem where multiple tools perform a specific job in a workflow. This makes it easy and friendly to set up and run; using information from other platforms like JIRA and Bitbucket, everything comes together in an excellent and organized way without much effort.

It might be overwhelming at first; there are plenty of options and personalization elements you can include, so you might think, "It is too much for me." But by watching a couple of YouTube videos, you will see how you can customize it to suit your needs and start using its powerful features.

Anledningar att byta till Confluence: We found that Confluence integrated naturally with JIRA and our Bitbucket repositories, giving us an organic way to set up all our workflows in a single platform. While we could use Slack or any other messaging platform to communicate, Confluence worked perfectly for our documentation needs.

Confluence's Incredibility

Confluence is an incredible platform for amazing collaborations and even for managing and organizing tasks. When am working on projects and I want to finish them fast I use Confluence because I can collaborate with teams and share ideas.

It served its purpose for a while.

Kommentarer: I used Confluence for several years on-prem, now that the Atlassian have discontinued support for on-prem its time to find an alternative that is secure. Atlassian cloud has far too many data breaches to trust them to host trade secrets and other confidentual data.

Poor customer service (ignored) Too many security vulnerabilities to have internet-facing Atlassian discontinued on-prem offering to push more expencive cloud hosted option. Inverse economy of scale, pricing increases as teams grow.

I love Confluence

Effective way of recording design history and decisions

Kommentarer: Confluence made the recording of our UX delivery from Discovery to Beta really easy, so that people joining the project, stakeholders or future teams working on the same service can review the decisions we made and the evidence to back them up.

It was an effective tool for logging reasons, process and the development of an agile UX delivery from Discovery to Beta - logging design histories, decisions and changes in a way that was easy to navigate.

Not much to add here - search functions and labelling worked well, and it was easy to use when creating the documentation too.

The best tool for organizing your project knowledge base

Kommentarer: My experience with Confluence was positive overall. I used it on my every project and it’s great for organizing and sharing knowledge, but it requires good structure and team discipline to avoid clutter.

Great Tool - Enhance it with AI please

Kommentarer: Over all is an OK experience for me, although I am a preacher of confluence usage in my company.
With improved searchability (simplify it using AI) and reducing the duplicates when entering the information, I will give 3 more points (that is 10/10)

Searchability (omg, its complicated) and overhead in reducing the duplicate information. I wish there is a smart editor that stops the users from entering duplicate information as they are typing the info. Go AI

Confluence is the perfect team workspace product currently in the market

It’s a solid tool for collaboration, bringing everyone onto the same page and making it easier to track projects, share ideas, and store resources. I appreciate how it centralizes information, reducing the back-and-forth of emails. However, there are some challenges with keeping content organized, especially as the workspace grows. A bit of planning is needed to make sure pages don’t get too cluttered or hard to navigate. With good organization practices, though, Confluence can be a powerful asset for team productivity.

Jira and Confluence - Solid Project Management Tools

Kommentarer: Really enjoy this product. Would buy it again!

I greatly enjoy the Kanban views, and ability to easily set up reporting across teams/boards. It's fairly easy to customize. Planning Sprints and seeing burn down reports is also very easy with this tool.

There really isn't much I dislike. I haven't used it for Resource Management so if you need to be able to do that ...I'm not sure if this is the tool for you.

Easy to use, tough as an administrator

Kommentarer: I use it daily to write and create KB articles. My goal is to get something done fast, approved and ready. Confluence allows me to reach this goal.

You can very simply layout a Knowledge Base page to make the information easy to find. Searching for information is Super easy

There are some limitations when setting page permissions. If you are familiar with server permissions, Confluence is not as flexible and easy.

A good experience with Confluence

Kommentarer: My experience with Confluence was across multiple companies, so I saw the evolution of the product. in general it's a good tool to store your companies knowledge center, it has both on prem and saas solutions and it has a very short onboarding time.

Confluence has enabled myself and my team to keep a single point of reference where you can always count on to have the latest enterprise data, it's very reliable and has very good search capabilities shortenning the time to find a piece of information.

It works best when you have the whole package of Atlassian which includes Jira and Bitbucket, It also has good integration with other tools but best all the tools to come from one "home".

Confluence is a robust tool for world-class engineering/product teams to create

Kommentarer: Confluence is a critical tool for significant documentation from an engineering/product standpoint. I don't think it will be the only tool fast agile businesses will use for documentation but it is still best in class for engineering functions.

Confluence is the most trusted documentation player in the game. We use Jira for our engineering task management so naturally, the seamless vertical integration between the two tools is excellent. Confluence has an excellent template library and perhaps most importantly, the performance is always reliable. We can't use tools like ClickUp due to bugs and performance issues for long significant PRDs. The collaboration on confluence is excellent and permissions around editing is also important.

Confluence is quite clunky (much like Jira). The ability to edit isn't as easy as ClickUp or Notion and that can get frustrating when you're trying to make changes quickly.

Essential tool for Team Knowledge and Collaboration

Kommentarer: I’ve had a lot of experience with Confluence across different companies, and it’s honestly a solid tool for keeping everyone on the same page. We use it for everything—from creating knowledge base pages to updating new processes and sharing team-specific info. It’s where we keep our org charts, team updates, and pretty much any ‘what, why, and how’ documentation. It’s easy to organize things so anyone can jump in, find what they need, and get up to speed quickly. Overall, it’s been super useful for maintaining a central hub of info that keeps everyone connected and informed.

You Won't be Disappointed

Kommentarer: It is a great software for collaborating with your team and sharing information about projects or what have you. The project management the knowledge management are top tier. It can also be used for marketing which I haven't looked into too much yet, but it does look like it has potential to be effective. In any case, you wouldn't be disappointed using Confluence.

Confluence has so much great information for project managers right at their fingertips. It helps plan and coordinate your schedule. It also has AI integrated into it which can be so helpful when you are at a crossroads. Templates are simple yet effective.

The only thing I will say is that since this software is not as big as other major websites and information sources, it can have a lack of information, as well as having outdated sites and sources. However, this is not true of all information available.

Great collaborative platform - but not without its quirks

Confluence has been instrumental for our team as a central repository for our documentation, streamlining our workflow considerably by keeping everything from project plans to meeting notes in one place. The real-time collaborative editing feature is a game-changer, allowing multiple team members to work on the same document simultaneously, which has boosted our productivity during brainstorming sessions and project planning (especially when working across various timezones). Its seamless integration with Jira and other Atlassian products facilitates easy progress tracking and task management, creating a more cohesive working environment. Additionally, the range of templates available makes it easy to get started with new documents, and the ability to create custom templates tailored to our specific needs has been very useful. Its superior to platforms like Quip in the way that it handles pasting in content from other platforms/products (Excel for example). Its shared organizational structure also makes it much easier to use - because we can create one team location with sub pages, and organize them holistically rather than everyone having their own organization approach.

It takes a bit of a learning curve to get used to where you find everything. Additionally, granting access to people on different pages is challenging - to the point that it seems like we have to include IT in those type of requests - which shouldn't be the case, and is MUCH easier to do in Quip. The search functionality can also leave some things to be desired, as many times it takes 4-5 searches to finally find what you're looking for.

Helps with collaboration features, editing, adding comments, and notifications, which improves the communication of the team. Provides templates for several types of documents, makes it easier to get started. It easy integrates with other Atlassian products (like Jira). Very user-friendly interface make it accessible for users of all technical levels.

using the documents is easy, but navigating within it requires a training, and might take some time to get use to it. The paid plans can be expensive, for big teams

the global search field searches in all published pages and would be easier to limit the search to the current project. but we fixed that by adding a custom search field to our own home page.

A fanstastic product

This is my favourite product from the Atlassian suite. I would choose it again and again, over any similar product. I have used some products which have a slight edge in some areas like text editing and document discovery but Confluence is such a strong all-rounder that it's hard to justify switching away from it.

There are two flaws with Atlassian products in my view, and both of them come down to usage. It's very easy for a lot of junk to be created in Confluence and it's not that easy to clean up. The other is installing lots of fancy plugins and extensions, which can easily slow down the system. Choose wisely and be prepared to remove plugins that cause problems. Confluence itself though, I have no complaints about.

A great tool for keep corporate documentation

The Migration process from On premises Confluence to Cloud confluence was complicated and must be more easy. Apart of that I can't fine something else to complain.
